Higher quality hotel that makes you forget the busy-ness outside. Super friendly staff.

Don Alfonso is a good quality hotel in a nice building off Pereira's Circunvalar (its major city-thorougfare) - very busy outside, quiet on the inside. It has a very nice upscale atmosphere, the room felt a bit more standard/basic but had all the stuff one expects so can't complain there. Staff was super, superfriendly, attentive and supportive, more than I'd expect when we walked in with our dirty shoes and pile of luggage (we only stayed one night on the way out of Colombia). I hope they're always like that. Basic but appropriate breakfast.

What was the highlight of Hotel Don Alfonso

A wonderful historic, even romantic, unique hotel with an unfortunate nightlife location.

Breakfast was great with delicious fruit and a serene courtyard setting. Loved the antiques and old furniture, lighting, etc. Plenty of space to wander on the property too. Close to major malls and restaurants.

The Wi-Fi network would drop each evening leaving us without an internet connection. However, there was a second network to use, although it had a weaker signal. Unfortunately, the location is across the street from the loudest, busiest nightclub restaurants in town. Yes, our stay was on Friday & Saturday night, but the music blared into the night until 2AM…yikes!

Came for one night, extended to two, would have like to have stayed a week!

Secluded. Rooms are off a courtyard which is shaded and cool. Great rooms with tasteful period furniture and air conditioning. Great Wifi. Super helpful staff. Was very comfortable here and reluctant to leave.

This is a small beautiful hotel. So much better than the Movich I stayed at last time which is old impersonal and more expensive. My room was large and quiet

I recommend paying a little more to avoid the rooms that open directly to the breakfast courtyard

A touch of history in this modern part of Pereira. Everything is within easy reach.

We like to stay in smaller boutique hotels and were not disappointed when we chose the Don Alfonso Hotel in Pereira for our stopover on the way to Salento. The hotel is housed in a historic building and every corner of the house tells a story. Stay here if you are looking for character, friendly staff and a comfortable bed in a spacious room. Stay away if you don't like cats, old books, vintage paintings and furniture from the last century. There is even a free parking if you arrive by car which is premium in this central location in Pereira.

We have absolutely no complaints. The bathroom could maybe need a little upgrade, but it has its own charm with the old bathtub and fixtures. There is no safe in the room and no amenities like gym, spa or swimming pool. Enjoy the beautiful patio and terrace instead!

Loved our stay in this old colonial property, full of grand period furniture and artefacts.

We were met with a nice welcoming smile from Juan, who took care of us from start to finish. Very attentive and polite. We loved the old colonial feel to the place, particularly as this was balanced by the highest cleaning practices.

The hot water tap in our room wasn’t working. Apart from that all was good.

Lovely hotel, attentive and friendly staff, excellent location near downtown and restaurants

All of the staff were so kind and helpful! My Spanish is limited but we were able to make everything work. Our room was clean and comfortable, delicious breakfast and coffee each morning, and located minutes from downtown, shopping and restaurants.

Absolutely fantastic place and would definitely stay again if ever back in the area

Everything about this hotel was great. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, the room was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very satisfying and filling.

Not really a dislike but when taking a shower you have to run the water for a really long time before hot water starts coming out.

Totally recommend, best price / service deal I have been found in a long time. Staff was really kind, te breakfast was simple but delicious and the coffee was really good (and I’m very picky on that).
